Yesterday I had a 13m C4 up on Treasure Mountain. I'm posting an early loop sequence so people can see how nicely it pulls powered loops. You can see how much lift I get from the moment the kite starts the loop all the way back over my head. I could land really soft on all of them. It definately yanks me harder than my Edge 2, and I spend a little more time with that weightless moment while the kite flys back up. It glides really well too, nice and lofty feeling. The gusty wind was a little more startling than my edge, but that often happens with an unfamiliar kite. I almost crashed it a couple times because it doesn't turn as well as my Edge when depowered, but still better than most kites. Cheers!

13 is super for boost and hang time. I am progressing lots with it. Cant felt its turning speed at all.
My only concern with buying the 13 instead of the 12 is that I am worried the 13 will feel like a "big" kite to me instead of the 11m I demoed. You say that you can jump well on it, so it must still be a pretty fast kite? It doesn't feel slow and non-sporty to you? Please let me know.

I want to say yes the 13m feels sporty and fast. To me it feels lite and fast, but remember I spend most of my time around 9000ft. Kites feel faster in the thin air.

Anyone had a chance to compare the performance of the 10m or 11m C4 to the 12m or 13m sizes?

Hi, this is my first post :bye:
I'm italian excuse for my English, I will tried to be understandable
Some days ago I have tested the C4 12 but the wind was only 10 knots...
Immediately I have had a good feelig with the bar and it responds very smooth,
in the air the C4 is fast but not nervous and give a sensation like an hybrid kite
Unfortunately the condition wasn't good and the kite didn't truck me well
I work hard to go up wind (my weight is 65 kg and I used a Nobile 666 138cm)

Now I'm hesitant because I believed it was a tractor :?:
I would like to buy the C4 12 because it seems very good
but I 'm afraid that it doesn't work well for light-medium wind (12-20 knots)
and I didn't want a kite too big (13 and more..)

I repeat when I did the test, the wind it was very bad, I think 10-11 knots

What do you think? Is My test is reliable? :nono:

:bye:

So, you tried the 12m kite in 10 knots.
OK, no surprise, it was not enough wind, even if you are only 65kg.
 Maybe you need to try it in 12 or 15 knots.
Personally, I think in a little more wind, it would be great.
So would most any other 12m kite!
10 knots just isn't very fun for most people.
For 10 knots, you probably want a flat shape kite in a bigger size.
You could probably still hold on to a 13m or 14m until 18 or 20 knots, and it would get you going earlier.
But I would stick with the 12 and wait until the wind comes up just a couple of knots.

you will never regret having the extra size up when you're talking about light winds. i'm 65kg and i'd go with a 13 or 14m

why wait for the wind to pick up when you could be out riding

Yes you are right,

but I'm looking for a kite to use in a spot where the common condition is 13-20 knots, not proper light wind
In my spot size 11,12,13 are ordinary..

Until now I kiting with a Ozone light 12 2008 or a Nobile N62 11 and for a beginner they are very good in this condition. When the wind is stronger I have a 9.

Now I'm intermediate and I would like an high performance kite

In reality I'm not sure about the efficiency of the C4,

It truck very well or not??? :-?
