C'mon, this is your 3rd post. You need to build some respect before posting diminishing opinions of yours.

Ok, went out with the Woo in my pocket. Yes, a pocket. Not sure if is designed to be there but it's a start :) Did not have time to glue the enclosure on a board today. Did charge it, tho.

The problem what I've found is this:

- one enclosure. ONE. Guys, Au$300? Really? Ok, I knew that, so forgiven.

- there are no instructions how to operate the device. The printed instructions are self explanatory, I mean we are not kids who need a hand with gluing a mount piece on a board :) And that is all about this printed instructions. Nice paper (*).

- a nice touch is the Woo printed sachet for Isopropyl wipe.

- since there no operating manual I tried to press the off/on button and the Woo responded with a green light. Ok. Started blinking :) Cool. Means something.

- left it in my pocket and went to rig. Checked after, duno, 5mins and device wasn't blinking? Hm. Did I press off/on again while rigging? Don't know. Pressed it again, green light blinking. Fine.

- went out for one hour.

- Now, instructions does not say to splash it with fresh water. See (*). It's ok, I do it anyway.

To be continued...

^^ sorry to say this but i dont think you have been recording. press to turn it on and the light will flash green. Press again and the light will flash red. Red means the unit is recording. You can only upload info to phone when the unit is not recording and flashing green. You dont need to glue the connector to the board it is 3M tape like gopro use. Hope this helps.

Tried to save may first session today, but my homespot isn´t in the list of spots. How to add spots? It told my highest jump was 7,6 meter and that should be ok to share as the day were a "no kiting day".

Hi Windsportknut,

Just responded to your FB msg about adding a spot. We have a lot of the spots around the world, but unfortunately it wold be an absolutely insane task to try to record every one, so instead we rely on you guys to help us out! For anyone else, the easiest way to add a spot is to shoot us a message either on Facebook or support "at" woosports.com

As well here is a brief setup video that should help shed some light on how the device works!

Also, a video on how the to save a session in the app.

Stay tuned for more

Hey Davej, you forgot to use the current version with the part where it says :

"We have contacted WOO Sports if they would review a concept of our review See Update! https://www.facebook.com/wetestkites"

(The part where WOO contacted them  )

This helps answer some of the questions they had.

Cheers,
D

Review Woo Sports: tracking of jump height and air time -part 2-

We have done a second test;
Conclusion

The WOO’s are so well correlated that it is all most impossible to get them any more consistence. Apart from the two mentioned minorities, there is one more thing to explain. As you may have noticed did we have a difference in maximum heights measured in our test of 0,4m; 8.2 to 7.8 meters. This difference is completely within the statistical measurements consistency and just is part of everyday life accuracy. Something which is in inevitable.

Heh, you just revealed what I was going to say...Yes, Perth is more expensive, $299 in here.

Basically, the written instructions should cover this and we should not rely on the iPhone Internet connection to learn such a basic operation.

Unfortunately, this is where it stops for me since on a next test I've broken my collar bone, with displacement, landing a 5.5m 3.8sec jump according to Woo :thumb: :angryfire:

Sucks. Anyone in Perth interested for one Woo to help me healing my wounds?

Cheers mate

About the Woo application on ios devices:

- would it be possible in the future to have some basic Sorting implemented? Ie, would like to sort by countries or even a continents leader board?

- I did register my device, would it be possible to block the device on appl level if stolen?

- the device is not showing on Settings/Devices, is this normal?

- and last but not the least, would it be possible to sync the data with no Internet connection, meaning having a local copy on an ios device with no upload to the server and leave to my discretion to upload (if ever)?

I think the above is quite important. Imagine riding somewhere with no 3G signal and loosing session data.

D.
