Amazing kite and bar.

Flag out = no problem!

Really stable, easy relaunch and Damn fast turning. Waveriding has :naughty: WOW drift.

Overall great learning kite for students. :thumb:

Test it at our place in Indonesia or Siargao, Philippines from November.

I like the idea of small diameter and one piece bar. Too many bars brake these days. My 7m Element 3 rocks.

So for those that are wondering about the build quality of those kite let me tell you a story.

Put my kite in a tree, could not get it down by using all my streingh and 200 pounds of yanking on the lines like a dummy (should not have done that because could of damaged it more but adrenaline and stupid me w/e) it was getting to dark so had to leave the kite for 10 hours flapping in the tree. Next day came back with a pole saw and had to climb the tree to cut a 20ft branch. It came down with the kite.

Kite seems fine no fairs rips punctures or problems (for now and my first inspection will inspect loser later)

I think that should be the standard stress test from now on to leave a kite flapping in a tree for 10 hours

I'm glad you got it down in one piece and not in tatters! It would be a shame to stitch up a new kite!

Faxie wrote:My V2 bar single line safety works fine. One thing I noticed is that when I replaced my lines, the new power lines had a slightly thicker splice (because of the stiching keeping the splice in place I think) and they were a bit harder to pull through the swivel. But when you need the safety, it works fine. The kite pulls hard enough to get the line through the swivel.

I heard from some people the SS safety has the same problem sometimes, but it releases fine too.
With respect, you don't have the same kites as I do.

Slingshot Z 9 and 13m both failed in the middle wind ranges. Not tried in lower or upper wind ranges.

Core 19m xr3 - disaster, failed in 9mph, kite scuffed for several minutes all over the window(sand).
17mph - absolute failure to pull through standing in water. Had a friend come and assist and try to pull the splice through by hand but he failed to pull it through. I also failed to pull it through manually. Naturally, the kite was pulling strongly, but not dangerously for me.
I tugged like a mad man at leash but no way was that line going to come through.

As I mentioned before, I've spliced new lines but I don't think Switch should be continuing to sell this and all bars with this problem should be recalled.

On the Switch forum, someone mentioned he spliced some rope and someone asked "are you in the marines?". Alot of Switch customers are new to the sport and you're selling them a bar with shit safety.

I'll make a video, Sunday looks good.

CNN, ITN, BBC, Tass, Channel 4, Fox News... Oh wait not fox....They will all be filming!!!!
just FYI...l checked my bars...l can pull the line with my hands without using too much force...so l am pretty sure the kite will do the same.
maybe it is not the line but the hole in the swivel that brings your problem, l surely would write an email to Switchwarranty, and they certaily will help you out.
maybe there was a batch with swivels where the hole has been made narrower...giving you this problem.
good luck!
dude :cool2:
