I'm going to do some traveling soon and am thinking about buying a "golf" bag. What are people using and what your thoughts.
Thanks for the help in advance.

All depends on the board you want to bring. Personally, I use the NSI deceiver... perfectly fits my Mako 150 (and a second smaller TT) + 2 kites. Not overwhelmingly huge and fabric is more durable than previous ones Ive used. Also not super pricey... Usually with these bags you get what you pay for (I skimped last year and used a cheap one - no bueno). But the NSI for the price is pretty good.

Mystic Elevate not cheap but very light!
I've bought a split board recently and will be testing smaller bag shortly.

I've also got the NSI Deceiver. American Airlines managed to break one of the wheels on my 3rd flight with it. A little fiberglass repair to the broken plastic has held up--though now the bag is another pound or so heavier. For my last trip I had a 135 cm board and 2 kites (12 & 17), bars, a pump, and a harness. Weight became an issue before volume.

I have to say that i have been very happy for the Mystic Elevate. Light and plenty of space.
Yes is cost a little bit but i will say it is worth it.
Best Regards

Hi every body! First post here
I have a quite old Dakine wheeled kite bag, it´s a big heavy for today´s standards, but sturdy and protective to my stuff.
It was not a "golf travel bag" but I have sticked some nice golf patches around and it really does the job!!! Last trip to Cabarete was my premiere with it and it was a success.
So I would say that you may convert your travel bag into a golf travel bag ; )

I use the KKrows bag. I've used a bunch of brands bags and this is very affordable, light weight so more room for gear. If there's a lot of padding then you loose out on how much stuff you can bring. I usually bring a twin tip, foil board, foil, 2 kites and a bar.

I have used and liked the crazyfly wheeled golf bag. I fit a 135board, bar, harness, 10m, 13m and 16m kite and come in just under 50 pounds. It has held up well. Never had to pay additional $ yet. When i've been told that the airline was going to charge me, I say "why, its a golf bag" and point to the words golf on the side. A couple of times when asked "whats in that?", I always say "its a golf bag" . once after saying that they wanted to look inside. I un zipped it and all you could see was kite fabric and I told them that that was padding.
So so far so good. But I keep looking at split boards to avoid the anxiety.
