Limited, but promising results for the PIQ tracking device.

PIQ can show the height of a last jump instantly - very good feature!

and similar price to Woo. And it is housed in a water proof case which will stop the anode corrosion the old Woo devices seemed to suffer from.

No mention of the real time data display?

PIQ would be better if it displayed automatically, and constantly. But I like that feature...

thanks for the review.
I am also interested to know if the display is easily readable on the water.
Does it fog?
Definitely need to test with a smaller kite to see if those two still agree on the readings..
I found that Woo and Trace were somewhat comparable in 12 meter conditions but in higher wind Trace tended to "lose" a lot of jumps.. After communicating with Trace developers, it revealed that Trace put many jumps in to "quarantine" if they exceed certain height or time (so almost anything over 8m / 6sec was filtered out).. I ended up sending the gadget back to them for a refund..

the piq is easy to read on the water......excellent as a matter of fact!!!!

the piq does display all jumps constantly!!!.....adjustable in the app

the piq measures lower than woo (in my experience of over 1000 jumps)......it appears to not measure board overhead.

piq does not show your individual jumps in the app

no sharing of data via leaderboards.......spot leaderboards etc....... biggest bummer.......cant see wat buddies are doing.

unit is very nice though and app can get only better.....but at this point far behind woo

i still prefer woo.......and use piq(display) to know if i need to try harder or experiment with different techniques.....
