I have gone through 2 sets of center lines on the clicker bar
they are snapping at the v the plastic ring wears out the center line that is also the safety line
I've seen several other people's lines that are wearing out at the spline in the line near the connectors
north are staying mum about it and not doing a thing about it check your lines guys it's dangerous
it's just the lines on the clicker bar
North is well aware of this issue, and a few months ago there was a thread about this here.

Can't remember exactly what the official word from North was, but you should probably go to your dealer to see if they offer replacement parts.

It is described here; http://www.wetestkites.com/2017/03/20/n ... the-split/
But North has been very silent on it. We own 2 click bars, again I will try to get in touch with them.

kind of amazed that north has known about it and for so long.
It's a danger for the pilot if it breaks in the air and to the public as it's the flag out safety line.
A loose kite flying through the air can be so dangerous.
I buy new kites partly for the safety and the warranty. However, if both of these are not a concern to north.

I am going to contact the Consumer Product Safety Commission and Consumer Protection Agency.
The Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission and complain about the safety of this product and the stock that is currently unsafe and has not been recalled.

I have spoken with North HQ yesterday. I will update shortly on it on our Blog.
I think the correct wording is needed to avoid having a stand-off by threatening with agency's etc. so we keep an open conversation with North.
At least that is our way.

This is a kook's review of the new North Click bar.

I had a great 4 reaches using my new 8m North Neo and North click bar yesterday. I loved how clean the bar was and quickly embraced the click system. I felt dialed in gusty 30-40miles/hr wind.

That was until my chicken loop decided to pre-release.

After re-assuring a friend I was OK I yarded the safety line in and reset my bar only to have it pre-release again.

This time my kite started looping around and some primitive instinct took over and I accidentally released the secondary release.

After a long swim and multiple other kiters herculean efforts my gear was rescued and my ego was only bruised.

Please do NOT make my kook's mistake. You can set up the click bar wrong and still make your jibes.

Looking at how you've set that up I can't believe it stayed there for 5 seconds let alone for a few minutes of riding. This of course would apply to any North Trust bar, not just the click bar. At least you (and your gear) survived...

I think he was admitting to putting it together completely wrong - hence the 'do not make my mistake' comment. Didn't think you could really put the thing together wrong but there you go...
