i live on the beach i kite at
, but i can drive to the other side, 15 min or take a boat, 10min, or go to the ocean 1-5min
long island is awesome...

My local spots are 20 minutes and 30 minutes away.
If it's blowing really good you can knock off a few minutes

5 min from 3 different bays, two with flat water and slicks, and one with humungious chop. O and can't forget the ocean, 3 mins away. Long Island is awsome.

nearest beach is just under 100miles drive...
try to do +20 beach trips a year which includes a few long weekends
But spend most Summer evenings Kite Landboarding on local field which is just a 10min. drive...

Average 15 minutes to my spot, 8 miles 1 way,
with my !00% Electric Car what I modified for kiteboarding & working (3 miles 1 way).
Now speed: 55 mph
Range 1 charge about : 50 mph
Average cost to charge: 55 cents
About 2 Penny / Miles
