Do you launch hooked or unhooked into your chicken loop?

Everyone at my spot launches hooked. I find there is a lot of pull in the kite with it depowered, so I wonder if I could hold it while launching unhooked

Is one way generally accepted to be better?

P.S. how do I put this in the main forum?

Cheers

I find my kite is more responsive to turning when hooked.

Hooked in. One Hand on bar, the other on the 5th line.
If the kite acts up, pull it out of the sky with the 5th line. Works even with crossed lines.
If I put just the right amount of tension on the 5th line, I can make the kite hover with 0 power (simialr to a bow).
Launching Unhooked usually means you have more power and less control.
