The Gorge for sure! Been all around the world and nothing like coming back to the Columbia River Gorge and surrounding areas. Here's a couple Windwing videos that capture the windy wonder of the Gorge.

The Gorge should be up for a vote!

Nice links, but don't forget these "old school" links, this was before kites ever showed up on most beaches

No SF Bay Area???

Postby gideonlow » Sat Apr 14, 2007 10:58 am

What a huge omission. San Francisco Bay Area . . . we have some of the best and most consistent conditions in the world for both flat-water kiteboarding and coastal kitesurfing. I've had at least 100 epic session in the last year, and it would easily have been 150 if I didn't have to travel for work so much.

And one more reason to add the Bay Area: it was probably one of the first 2 or 3 places where kiteboarding started as a popular sport.

Definitely gets my vote as one of the top seven.

Cheers,

Gideon

couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Yorkey´s Nob - Australia, but for a chilled out, uncrowded spot with wind & waves it gets my vote :D
