due to gusty and unstable winds in Finland you rarely see two liners here. mostly small two-liners are used only in training.

it is nice to be able to ride relaxed and not 100% power all the time.
and I can go out when there is more wind and use the depower to ride and power it up for jumps to get higher.

started on 2 - 4 better but on a jury rigged naish I have little depower and it makes it fun

I learned on a 9.0 NewWave 3 liner, really a 2 liner with brake adjustment and reverse re-launching on the middle third line.
4 lines all the way, much safer, more forgiving.

2 line kites rare in Auckland (only beginners use them here) and to be honest I don't see the point in using one unless you're very much into fullblooded wakestyle riding or a total beginner.

I've been riding a psycho 15.5 almost all the time now but two line kites can be a lot of fun and I still take my old 2-line foils out once in a while.
If you have a board that is small but with a very fast rocker you can get very good contol over a 2-liner in gusty winds.
