Ive had lessons.. I completed a certified IKO kitesurfing course.. But that was like 2 years ago.. and I havent kiteboarded since.. I remember how to kiteboard.. But the kiteboard I used back in school was different and had a different QR system I remember that it had a kite leash that I attached to my wrist..
anyway I think im supposed to attach the kite leash to the harness and the chicken loop line right?

Duhhh I think I figured it out..
On the bar pic I posted it says in one of the arrows : Handle pass leash attachment for double depower safety
And on my royal bar there is a small ring on that area where I could totally attach the leash..

you have two connection points on that bar:
the handle pass leash attachement
and you could connect to the "oh shit safety release"
You not k
itesurfed for a long time, so go to a spot with a lot of space and get someone to help for an hour or so, to get into it again. Or take an Instructor for one or two hours.

Attach your leash on the HP ring at the bar, the other end on your harness, assuming you have a newer one with rings on back left/right.
Also, make sure the leash goes around your back once, like from right ring from harness around your back and under your left arm towards the bar.
That's standard, and if the leash is too short for that, I recommend to get a longer one.
Also, go to your local kite beach and just ask for help.

Thanks for your replies guys! I've already gone kitesurfing with my new equipment a couple of times and everything works fine. Also did some safety release tests and works fine with the leash attached to the ring.
Again thanks for sharing your knowledge with us noobies
