HKA Safety Release. Hook Knives.

Postby HaylingBilly » Thu Aug 10, 2017 10:56 am

Hi,
Please take a look at this article released by Hayling Island Kitesurf Association. It is intended to educate kitesurfers in the importance of carrying the correct type of line knife. I know some folk will make the decision never to carry one, that is their choice, but if you are inclined to carry a knife then this may help you to choose the best design for our sport.

I studied this topic a couple of years back and concluded this type of knife would be best in most circumstances..
The standard knives in harness do not cut the thickest piece of rope in your setup...
