Cabarete hotel suggestions - traveling with parents?

Postby shahter » Wed Oct 05, 2005 3:21 am

Has anyone traveled to Cabarete on a kitesurfing trip and had their parents come along? I'd like to hear your recommendations on a place to stay (we are going in early December). We'd like to be close to Cabarete and Kitebeach, but at the same time have hotel amenities/activities that my parents (in their 60s) would enjoy......while my wife and I are kitsurfing :)
Would you advise for or against an all-inclusive hotel? What hotels around Cabarete would you recommend and why?

Thanks a lot for any suggestions or advice!!!

Try this place

Yeah dude, u should try Viva Windham Tangerine. As far as I know it's the best all inclusive hotel in Cabarete, and it's right on Bozo beach so u can kite right there. There's also lots of activities for ur folks to keep 'em busy. 5 min walk to town. Lot's of slutty entertainment girls there too! It's got a safe in every room, gym... the food kind of sucks, but hey... can't win 'em all. Have fun. Go to Lax at night from 10 pm to 1 am and then hop to Onno's an Bamboo, great night life.

Cabarete Hotels

Postby laurel » Mon Oct 10, 2005 11:00 pm

Hi There!

Bronco is right, the Viva is a very nice hotel with good entertainment, and if you like the All Inclusive atmosphere you will love it there. Depending on how much your parents like to walk it might be a bit far from "downtown" Cabarete....

You can also check out Hotel Caracol (a bit closer to Cabarete village)
http://www.hotelcaracol.com and http://www.cabaretekiteholiday.com

In Cabarete itself is Palm Beach Condos, a really lovely beach-front property, right in town, could be good for your parents also. http://www.cabaretecondos.com

Or next door is Hotel Villa Taina - http://www.villataina.com

Hope this is helpful and for sure stop by and say hello when you are in Cabarete!

Aloha,
Laurel

Dominican Republic Honeymoon

Postby laurel » Tue Oct 25, 2005 5:31 pm

Hi there!

Congrats for your wedding and I think a DR honeymoon is a great idea.

Instead of Cabarete, what about Las Terrenas or if you really want peace and nature, Las Galeras?

Both are on the Samana Peninsula, very beautiful, and less touristic, commercialized....

And there is always the possibility of wind!

If you want some advice, just email me:

laurel@laureleastman.com and I am happy to help!

Kind regards,

Laurel

US$150/night??????? :o :o :o :o That's US$1050 for 7 days, and on top of that you have to cook, no entertainment, no people sucking up to you, u have to buy your own food....
