Cheers for the info lads
Hey Daniel, here's a little bonus for you..

If its not pumping where you are, and its on at Guincho, drive up to Guincho for the day, or even stay overnight, it will take you all of 2 hours to get there plus another half hour to an hour from Lisboa to Guincho depending if you catch rush hour (avoid it), you won't be the first one doing 180 on the highway, just remember to stay out of the passing lanes if you're a slowpoke (europeans have no tolerance for that, also only pass on the left, not on the right or you'll get funny looks). July should be great for that, leave the family relaxing in the south. Enjoy Portugal. Lots of topless action down there.

One last thing, advice based on experience, you have to assume that your car is going to get broken into, take your stuff to the beach with you.

Yes. Alvor ria (delta) you can't take the car anyways (protected greenspace).. if you hang out with the Alvor kitecrew they might take you and your stuff talk to them, you be able to keep it there with their stuff also at their offices. Ocean side is right there also. From the hotel (depending on where you stay) you might grab a cab. Hope that helps talk to Nelson.

I went with Nelsons recommendations at the time which were completely 5* top notch, prices that of a motel, I had checked the prices of the hotels prior and they were 3X that to start. Talk to Nelson :)
