I am a beginner kiter who is just able to go upwind and progression into jumping. I am a student about to finish school and have some cashed saved up to spend it on a kiteboarding getaway. I am looking for suggestions on any kiteboarding camps or getaway packages for someone of my age (23) and skill level. I dont have any friends that kite so lookong like this will be a solo trip. Im from Ontario Canada and willing to spend no more than 1500. Suggestions?

South padre island texas has great conditions for trying new tricks and in the summer the crowds at the flat water spots aren't that bad. It has flat water for miles with 1 inch chop and a steady seabreeze almost every afternoon through June and into July. There are a few schools down there that will get you up and riding in a few days. If you are interested in checking out kiting in waves we get nice 3-4 foot waves that are good for learning on and no reefs to cut you up.

It's pretty tough to beat Cabarete in terms of value. Summer has great wind, and there's a good crowd so you're sure to have a good time. There's lots of info if you look it up.

This year Windtown Kitesurf Hotels organize some Kitechix events worldwide again. Kitechix is specifically targeted at girls who want to learn kitesurfing and those who want to improve their tricks and techniques by means of clinics.

This year Kitechix will be organized in The Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil and South Africa.
