Other Kite spots in the Philippines

Postby Eagle-Jan » Sat Mar 15, 2014 7:25 pm

Hi guy's
Question: does anyone know about other spots in the Philippines other than Kingfisher, Daet, Borac(g)ay, Cuyo, Qi-palawan and Coron island? Preferably big wave and strong winds 25kts+. Remoteness is not an issue.

Best waves in the country you have on the east coast (and a few ones on west coast, La union etc). Best wind ( strongest) during nov-april, Amihan season is up north (Baler and up, very remote areas).

During Habagat season (strongest winds July - Oct) you will find what you are looking for south of Daet, Samar - Siargao or any famous wave spot and every time there is a typhoon coming in you will have the time of your life. If you are lucky the will be a typhoon once a week like then season two years ago but if you are not so lucky there will only be a few each month.

The boring thing with typhoon winds is that they are gusty and comes with rain.

Let us know if you will find something

Don't go to Cuyo. Kitesurfing locals are mental. Owner of Cuyo Watersports Association wanted to cut my head off!!! He also threaten other foreigners during my stay and in the past. Just listen for yourself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDCNpMxRROQ
