hi i will go to hawaii in dec , i will be 4 days in honolulu and then in a cruise arriving to kahului, hilo, kona and nawiliwili, some hours in each port
can some one tell good wave riding spots near the ports ,
my level:I have been kiting for 11 years last years kited off shore 25+ waves in baja and peru, plus beach breaks in cancun were i live.
should I bring board and kites , or better to rent them,
pd this is an extended family trip not a kite trip.

Can't speak for the other islands, but you can walk to Kite Beach from the Kahului cruise ship dock, and if there's a north swell there will be good waves right there. Check it out on Google Earth.

James Bond style: Pump a kite on the ship and launch in front of the harbor in Kahului.

That'd be cool.
The western harbor breakwall has a good wave called Big Ed's. It's not bad for kiting, but last time I rode it I didn't stay long, as Ed is a 15 foot hammerhead, and I didn't feel like meeting him.

I haven't seen Ed yet, but I have met his 14 foot cousin.
