puglia is on the east side ,adriatic sea and after sardinia is the best region for kiting in italy .more wind ,longer beaches than calabria .in few km is possible to kite in taranto gulf (scirocco)ionio sea or adriatico sea with mistral or tramontana.
last.....my personal opinion ....better foods and better people than calabresi.
