What is wind like in cartagena currently? any el nino effects like in brazil - has been poor this season

ok finally arrived so i can answer myself ;D two days of light wind 12-15kn. was ok on vegas 12m fully powered

forecast looks ok though...there are some strong wind days coming.

You always need to add some knots to the forecast.
If mid 20s it will blow 30 and even more.

Whats the story about Cartagena with kiting? I have been there in December14 but it wasnt windy at all...where is the best place to go kiting and where would I place myself ideally to not miss out on cartagenas good life?? I imagine it must be heaven, with the wind to cool you down ayyy :D

++ how do I get arround? are there other folks to join/share rides? Would be epic if someone could help out with some info, cheers!

too early. Best winds in January and onwards. Looks like blowing strong every day this time now.

If no wind in Cartagena, drive further east...the further you go the more wind you will find. At the Cabo locals say it blows almost every day. Strong in the season, around 20 knots offseason.

I added a lot of spots on www.splocs.com , check it out there.

Getting around is not easy...rental cars are quiet expensive. Get in touch with locals on the beach...they are very nice, maybe someone will take you on a trip further east.

I just heard, the value of the Colombian currency is really low now...50% less then it used to be...so stuff should be cheaper now. We paid for the smallest car possible already 60 USD per day...2 years ago.
