Hello, I got a job offer near Concepción, Chile, in Coronel town to be more precise, I am considering the offer I just wanted to know if someone here knows of any kitespot or kiteable beach nearby.
Thanks
Jorge

Never been to Chile but I've looked into travelling there so this is a wild guess but it looks like you'll be somewhat central-south. Cold water & very seasonal, however, if you like to ride lefts it seems like Punta Lavapie or the points to the S of there would have some amazing swell. I'm sure its windy - at least at times. Storms generate off the Straits of Magellan & send up really nice swell so it should be good so long as you have a good dry suit or really good wet suit. Mountains & hills of Patagonia should offer up some good snow kiting at times as well. It will be interesting to hear about what you find there.

Jorge,
I live in chile.im 140 kms from concepcion and ride there when i have time.
there are lots of spots you can ride near concepcion.
In concepcion there is a small community of kiters(15-20) who kite at san pedro de la paz park, a bigriver mouth. 20 minutes from mainmall in concepcion. there is a store that sells kites and surfing gear called wet fly.
spot is pretty flat. 12 to 9 meter kites. mostly 15-25 knots from september to march.
If you like wave riding there is buchupureo and la sirena and mariscadero (pelluhue) 50 kms apart. from concepcion.
water temp is 8 in winter 12 in summer. 4/3 suit in summer and a 6/4 at winter if you like the sea.
I have begun foilriding so winter is open for bussiness.mainly 10 to 20 knots,.
If youre around contact me.
best regards,
Pedro

Jorge - do you snowkite at all? I've been really curious about the potential there for a long time.

For snowkiting in Chile look forr corralco and nearby argentinean towns.
That where most snow kiting take place.
Best time july thru september.
About 750kms south of santiago.
