Yesterday:
Sunwing adds that in Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria and Camaguey, destination teams continue to conduct detailed evaluations on affected hotels. “Until more information is collected, it remains too early to give an accurate assessment as to the reopening date of any specific hotel. Further updates are expected as the week progresses.”

Beaches more attractive than ever
"One of the consequences of a hurricane is the impact on the beaches, hotels can either lose it or regain it." This is the second scenario that has happened, "explained Renée Boisvert. "The beaches are better than they were before!"
Indeed, the Minister of Tourism was able to announce that Irma had moved large quantities of sand into Cuba and that the beaches of Cayo Coco , in particular, now have an additional width of 5 to 10 meters in width and thickness.
The hotels will reopen in Cayo Coco before because it's the most important island and is closer to the airport with better hotels.
The spot for the kite in Cayo Coco is larger and have not people swimming, that is one of the decisions from the government to reopen this area before.
The Hotel Pullman Cayo Coco 5 stars will be reopen by november 15 or before
The hotel Sol Cayo Coco 4 stars will reopen by october 15 .
The hotel Melia Cayo Coco by the end of the year
Hotel Sercotel in Cayo Guillermo will be the first to reopen in that area but will be after Cayo Coco for sure and Melia Cayo Guillermo will not be reopen this season.
