Koh Samui Thailand - Hydrofoiling in February Lamai Beach - need advice pls!

Postby Macisback » Sat Jan 13, 2018 3:19 pm

Hi everyone!

I'll stay in Koh Samui all February, living privately 5 min next to Lamai Beach.
We also have a car there.
I've done some research, but not much to find except Bracurus videos and few posts in general.

I have a few questions, if ayone could help me out, would be great!!

- Are there Kiteshoes needed on Lamai Beach or elsewhere in Koh Samui?

- Is Hydrofoiling possible on Lamai Beach with a 95 cm Mast (how steep is it, how far to walk in until steep enough)?

- What quiver to take/wind to expect? (I think of taking the Zeeko Pocket Air Foil&Surf with Spitfire, a 160 Door and a 142 board, a 19m foilkite, 18/14/12 Tubekites?

- Any (if) better spots in Koh Samui?

I think maybe the 19m Pansh Aurora2 foilkite is overkill, maybe better taking the 10m Zeeko Notus Rev? Winds will be 8-16 knots with average 11-14 as far as I could see? (Thermal wind, few hours a day).

Thank you very much in advance!
