I haven't kited it yet but I'm also interested in trying it out. The flat water between Bugaloos and Five Cays is the closest I've kited to where you're talking about, and it's nice. When are you going there?

I have paddled Chalk sound several times, but never tried kiting. The wind is kind of gusty compared to other spots on the island.
There is an access point just before making the turn at the police station going toward taylor bay and sapodilla bay.
You can definitely launch in the water.
Taylor bay and Sapotilla, bay: you can also launch The beaches are not wide but water is very shallow for about 100m, so can launch in the water... but I never had good wind fro East South East to try it...

Planning to go here soon. Any surf breaks that you can kite to? My understanding is they a are a couple miles out.

Providenciales surf breaks? If you’re comfy with “next stop new york” side off, sure. You’ll want e to n to nw wind. Not sure its a whole 2 mi to reefs, varies by location. If you dont want tightrope with no net situation for probably unremarkable waves, enjoy long bay and flats e of leeward.
And maybe check other islands for surf in other wind directions. Especially if you understand ironshore and route planning

I’ve heard about the reef on the northwest point and that it’s usually side off shore. Was hoping there are other Breaks. East Caicos looks like it could be sideshore at spot locations but remote and hard to get to.
Ironshore? I’m doing my planning now. Staying at long bay. If no waves, will still have fun in flat water. Also Looking to see if any boats do day trips.
