LA area kiting?

Postby RadDrDuke » Fri Mar 16, 2018 12:47 am

Going to downtown LA this saturday for a week for a work trip.

Is it worth bringing gear? kite/tt/kitefoil?

There is very little talk about SoCal on here and I can imagine there's minimal wind and lots of beachgoers/surfers....

You might get lucky and have NW frontal winds. March April has those.
Grew up in LA surfing and windsurfed around surfers 1978-84, then left and ended up staying away.
Have no idea what is permitted these days

Fronts are passing thru these days (Sat & Thu), but most likely LW foiling will be the choice. Perhaps off Belmont (Long Beach)
