It pretty hard to counter, if you go for lower age it become illegal.
I think if some of the so called established companies would stop whining about Best and actually concentrate to highlight their strength, if there are any, they could go somewhere.

I've flown them both and I can say the td-2 is not the td-1
td-2 flys well in comparison
although I didn't care for the more on -off feeling I got
5.0's back to back
Waroo's are just Waroo's (billions and billions sold)
if you don't like them send them back
a low end wind kite that CAPTURES WIND so when it get's to the high end of it's range it becomes unstable
very good low end.
best of both worlds in the OCEAN RODEO line
good low end and great high end

The TD2 11 is a jumping machine. I have flown lots and lots of kites over the years, but nothing I have flown has as much lift and hangtime ( I think the latest Crossbows are similar). The Waroos are nice kites, but they don't compare to the TD2 if you are into going big. The TD2 will also have more range because it is a true bowkite. The downsides of the TD2 are heavier bar pressure and a slower turning wing, so if you are into new school tricks-- unhooked stuff and kiteloops-- go for the Waroo. Just about every 06' Waroo around here had the leading edge blow out, which is unexcusable! So, stay away from the 06' if you are buying used.

By the way, when is SS going to get with it and go with color coded lines? Nothing worse than white lines on snow.

mike...agree on the colored lines. i've asked for a long time now and just don't understand why they still use white lines.

we're entering snow season in a month or so and colored lines are much better.

it's good to see guys giving accurate reviews on the TD2's amazing jumping abilities and huge depower and range. the CB3's and TD2's mirror each other in this regard.'s a great kite and you can let it go, or keep bashing the untruth.

I've ridden the '06 and '07 Waroos and TDs. Waroos win hands-down. Everyone says the td2 is so much better than the 1 but it looks the same to me. No thanks, SS lost me after that. Looks like they got their act together with the Rev, but at the prices I've seen I'll stay with the Waroos thank you very much, I'd rather pay Waroo prices for the real thing.

Slingshot's arrogance and failure to attend to customer feedback has cost them. They could learn something from Best on this front, although there is no shortage of arrogance in the Best camp either.

i've had amazing, simply amazing, customer service from slingshot.

i've flown td1, td2, and 06 waroos. the td2 is way, way better in every way except bar pressure. i have 11 and 14s. that's my 2 cents. i've set my td2 bridle up so that the bar pressure is about the same as the waroo.

Whatever you might say about a Wahoo v's a TD2 out of the bag, give it a few months, just go read the whining from the Waroo camp with their bridles stretching, front tubes busting, lines breaking...

There are schools where Wahoos didn't last two months, now using TD2's

And jump? Ha TD2 will jump clean over a Wahoo..

You get what you pay for..

shame on you.
Discussing about gear is fine, and everyone having their own opinion as well, but such personal attack on SQ and his family is disgusting and will not be tolerated.

I, and all other readers, expect an official apology to SQ.

You are not only representing yourself, but also the brands you distribute!

Sorry to have deleted the replies to that issue. Please repost if it was also containing opinions in the initial topic.
