Your boycott makes no sense. It's the increased wages that we provide by buying products manufactured in China that will help to lift these people up and let them see what the rest of the world looks like.
They used to be just poor dirt farmers. Now, they're poor dirt farmers with kids who work in textile mills making $2.00 per month.
That's gotta count for something, right?

People suffer in India too but they are a democracy. Indian army doesn't run around with machine guns killing Monks. What about Africa. US policy towards China is a complete failure. China is building the largest military in the region and their goal is taking over Taiwan which is going to be a major bloodbath. Screw China until they start respecting human rights.

I should have raised the sarcasm flag |>
It's so hard to identify sarcasm online.

well, political discussions are not good on a kite forum!
But you can go ahead and post lists in which country which products are produced...that is fine, as long as you leave the political stuff out of it!!!
Thanks
Toby

Toby
This is right as kiteforum may disappear from the chineese cyper space.
As this would be bad for all my fellow kiters in china.

no.
I say , like some countries are considering, boycott the Olympics.
Let's say we boycott china for all stuff made there, you'll be out 10G's for a kite, if made in US.
I get where you (original poster) come from, and it's awe full what's going on there, but we can't afford to boycott. Sucks but true.
And I am with Toby, no politics on this forum.
...even tough..well...,,,
actually. why not boycott US?....oh wait...it's going to shit on it's own...!

I made my point and hopefully the industry will think about it since they cater to customers who care about this and environment as it came across in the other threat. It's going to get much worse before it gets better with China. My kites and boards are not made there and I own 4cyl car that goes on 6L/100KM so I am feeling good all around.

Best go through every thing you own and dump anything made in china then .... since you feel so stongly about it.
I Visit china a few timea year. You cannot hold hte chinese people responsible for everything that their government decides to do. Just look at the US and Bush....
