Hey Tungsten222

There is a function on the forum that lets you hide messages
from any user you want. It's called the Foes function and it is in the user control panel.

Stick me in there and it will be :bye: :bye: to Fred :bye: :bye: for you.

Thanks for the support guys.

To everyone else who may be intrested let me tell you why
I post about these boards (Aviso).

It's for a couple of reasons:

First and formost I an 230 lbs 6'4" and a bit of an old fart so I am not the "industry standard" kiter.
I also often have to deal with low wind and funky conditions.
So to get the best results I've done loads of equipment hunting and experimentation.

I really wanted to to try out an Aviso board, but could not find a demo anywhere so I had to go out and buy one. I got a used one and luckily it turned out to be a great board.
I'm lucky becasue I live in an area with thousands of surfers and I could find a used Aviso local enough to buy it and try it.
Many people can't afford to take such risks or simply live far from a big surfing community or have no dealers around. For this reason I like to spread the word.
Also it's not just my opnion I'm basing this on. many people have sent me PMs about these boards or tried the ones I have.
I've sent many long detailed replies (not typical copy, paste and pimp stuff) to kiters out there.

Anyway please don't mistake my enthusiasm for pimping.

Second reason is that with other boards... even really nice ones that I really likes... my knees were getting sore and stiff. With the flex pattern in the Avisos (mainly yhe flex on the deck) my knees are feeling great... absolutely no problem at all. At 50 this is great and makes me confident that I will be kiting into my 70s.
I continue reading posts about peoples knees going bad. It's important to know that continuos strain makes it more likely for someone to get injured in a bad whipe out.

One last thing... I think it's intresting that I started using these boards a long time ago, but just recently Slingshot has decided to have Aviso make it Celeritas board and is now marketing
several Aviso models. I wish I had the footstrap rails that the Slingshot/Aviso models have.

Cheers

Fred

I don't see anything wrong if somebody is stoked & positive,
but if somebody is bashing others that's kiling the stoke, like PMU & flyingweasel.
I would be rather happy & healhy all the time than sad & sick,
so to be stoked is a good feeling and there is nothing wrong with that.
