I thought Steve had a boner for CBK and it was Lancing Kite Club he hated because they threatened to touch his children or something.....

RichardM,

did you even read the threads? have you read any of the UK threads? if you had read some of it you would see that this guy stirs up hornets everywhere he goes. he's a classic trouble maker.

your post is very predictable by the way.

I don't know exactly what wind_rider was trying to say since I couldn't understand the chart, but I got the impression that he was criticizing behavior at various UK beaches.
To a certain extent I agree with your sentiment about censorship - I am of the opinion that if you give certain people enough rope.... The problem with some individuals is that their posts venture into the realm of courts and the police and are not just online banter/wind-ups. I am sure Toby has his reasons and I think you should retract your Fuhrer comment since it is totally out of line, he strikes me as a very nice liberal sort of chap trying his best to run the forum.

PS please update your shit website it is not 1998 anymore

OBVIOUSLY, HE MUST HAVE BEEN AT LEAST SOMEWHAT ON TARGET to attract the vast amount of abuse - NONE of which seems to have ANY FACTUAL content, just personal abuse.

The saddest part is that Mien Fuhrer TOBY succumbed to pressure (possibly by the BKSA) to CENSOR the PERFECTLY REASONABLE AND APPROPRIATE OPINION OF Wind_rider.
No need to shout, we're all quite capable of reading what you write without the need to capitalise every other word or stick half of them in bold!

This bloke obviously has a lot of issues, it seems that its not just the kitesurfing world that gets wound up by him:

.
It wouldn't matter if wind_rider was 100% wrong and only motivated by maliciousness.

If the forum is going to PRETEND that it offers the opportunity for individuals to communicate with each other about topics affecting kiting, then ANY censorship is BULLSHIT.

Anyone who is "offended" by a post or a thread can either respond with objections or NOT.

Although I haven't read the forum's terms lately, I'm pretty sure they include a disclaimer that the content may be offensive.

It would seem that threads which detail wrongdoing by kiters are subject to censorship.

Wrongful behavior by irresponsible kiters is the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT REASON FOR BANS/RESTRICTIONS.

It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that covering up wrongdoing PROMOTES IT !

Therefore, it is extremely BAD for the sport to cover up and/or chill the discussion of kiter misbehavior (although it might be beneficial to certain specific groups with INFLUENCE).

And SHOUTING HAS A PURPOSE.

So INSTEAD this forum should LET THIS mentally UNSTABLE nice person constantly exaggerate AND IN SOME cases just MAKE UP INCIDENTS that HE has CLAIMED TO HAVE witnessed in ORDER to push HIS OWN INSANE agenda no matter what the effect THIS has on THE SPORT AND especially the riders ON the BEACHES where ONLY HE SEEMS to have experienced problems? I DON'T see HOW ANYONE benefits FROM that apart FROM wind_rider.

I called bullshit on this clowns rep months ago , he claims to be one of the top sailors in the UK ? A quick search proves he is full of shit, his sailing results are medioca

http://www.sailracer.org/sailor_results ... e%20Mclean

As for being in the 98 Hobart ....yeh right...claiming to be a part of that particular race in 1998 and not actually being in it is like someone claiming to be a war vetaran and fighting on the front line being shot at ,whilst in fact sitting on their ass watching the Simpsons and Neighbours every night and claiming the glory.
