You may want to use "boring" instead.

Not a SUP fan myself, but I see many people having fun in no wind and places, where kitesurfing is no possible, like bigger cities (e.g. Hamburg). Lots of water to paddle around and keeping people on the water and fit.

Each to its own. Now move on! :)

Well put Toby. For me, getting out on the water anyway on your own power, focusing on the moment, alone or with my wife and boy. Thats a happy moment.

If its windy, get out the kite or go downwinding on sup. Downwind in 25 knots on Sup is way, way more challenging than kiting.
That can be very dangerous. What type of body of water?

Does it really matter HOW a person gets there exercise ; as long
as it gets them off there Ass ?

CRAP , just pulling a SUP out the
back of a mini-van, and carrying it down to the water ; is more exercise
than most people get while watching TV and eating there potato-chips !!

And --- A high percentage of the people who are tossing the word "gay"
around, on this Thread ; they aren't ((Anything)) like the person there
pretending to be , (while Hiding behind) the keyboard on there computer.

--- I'm picturing some Fat-Ass dude ; stuffing his face with a big-gulp of soda-pop
and greasy french fries & pizza ,(while he types out his reply) to people
who actually go out and burn calories, in an attempt to look and feel Good about themselves.

I've seen some rather Seriously FAT people , who kite board ; are you one of them ?

And last ; I showed how easy it is to find the location of someone on any forum ; when
you talk your shit, (would you be brave enough) to say the same thing to his or her face
while standing on a the beach ? For most of you, i'd say : "probably NO" !!

Gay or not I am digging the idea of wave SUP something like 8'5" to 9'5". The truth is the best spots on Great Lakes for braking waves in my area at least have tall trees, huge dunes or both and the best waves are close to shore in the wind shadow and it's hard to get back out. On the top of it I don't like kites smaller than 6m and with that size I have to go to twin tip in 35+ knots. According to the websites I should be able to stand on one even in flat water with my 155 lbs I know I know my weight is kind of gay but I like it that way. I always thought about a kayak but after sitting on my ass for eight hrs at work I don't think so.
