Hi. The new Pivot 11 has really impressed me in terms of power; after a great vacation in Maui, back in Italy I finally tried this kite few days ago in my home spot. The swell wasn't solid and the West wind was blowing from 9 to 13 Knots. I went out wearing a full wetsuit (my weight is 67 Kilos) with the Naish Skater 5'2, surprisingly not only I was able not to loose ground, but also to do some turns. This kite does not drift as my Slash 7 and 9 but It is still a nice kite for wave riding; in my humble opinion the Quad Tex cloth has improved the turning abiliy and the overall stability. Back stalling is not and issue anymore. So, here's a short video in which I show you the Pivot 11 2018 in action.

Kite was nowhere near backstalling, just sat there waiting. Very nice video and the music was a perfect match for the session. Thanks for sharing.

Nice!!!! I love the stoke!!!
If you take the 11 out in more wind, it drifts nicely. It is my go to kite for pretty much any riding.

Nice. I have got almost the same combo: 8/11 Pivot, 5/7 Slash. New Skater still unused in my garage. Does it feel different from last year, now that bottom shaping is different?

The new Skater is totally different from the MY 2017 and 2016. IMHO is better in waves and for freestyle air tricks but I've found the construction a little bit prone to heel dents on the deck (being the board very light is not a concern). In Maui I had a lot of great wave sessions (strapless and strapped), the Skater never disappointed me in terms of maneuverability and carving speed. I also own and test other kite wave boards and I must admit that the new Skater is on of the best in my wide quiver especially in terms of versatiliy and overall performances. I'm just working to a complete review of this board for the website
www.standuppaddling.it. Below some pics of the new Skater in action in the hawaiian waters.
Cheers
