Are Switch kites getting any better?

Sadly I am having a hard time getting my head around the 2010 Waroo aesthetics of the v6.

You should show us, your post would work much better with pix.

Here's a link to a picture of the 2010 Waroo. Sadly it was a radical change from the previous four years. It was trying to cash in on the delta kite fad of the time. This kite ultimately led to the demise of the Waroo name, one could also argue it was the beginning of the end of the company too. Here is the Element6 5m in 38 knots gusting to 50 at times. Rider 105 kg -231 pounds.

What are the stats on the kite weight? I was really hoping E6 would be a tuned up version of the E5 that cuts some weight out and increases stability... not a redesign with 5 struts

5 strutted new elements look like kahoonas to me and early generation ones I had made nice power, drifted well, and were good jumpers just a little heavy on the bar pressure. Felix seems not to be a foiler so shame about weight addition. Guess new heliums might be answer.

This radical change in design doesn't convince me at all. I was waiting for the new Element to continue the specs of the successful previous version. Three struts, no pulleys, good for all-terrain and great in waves...
I had the trigger for the new V6 but I won't take the risk on a such a new concept. Sadly the Element 5 is not available anymore...
Lets wait for objective reviews to come and see how good it is

Pictures give you a better understanding. They also give credibility show casing that there is some true hands on experience.

I have been kite foiling for about 1 year now. Giving that I just started and can tack and gybe and go off the wind and have fun I think qualifies me have a great understanding on drift and what a kite needs to do.
If you want to race get a true foil.
I can tell you the Element6 is a great all round kite that you will have no trouble with that you can use for other things - most foil specific kites are limited in other areas in most case jumping and extreme conditions.
I also Surf foil and the has made me appreciate foil control and foiling even more.

Drift came from wave riding and have been doing this longer that most have been kiting these days.
I can tell you I have a true knowledge here from actual on water experience and not just going into theories of design. This is the same drift a foiler wants... Most wave kites work just fine for the average foiler.

This I think you are to into what has been stated by marketing across the board of the industry.
This type of kite has been around for a long time and had been getting tested behind switch doors for some time. You don't need to worry here. Its not like we just released a random design.

I would fly it and not knock it till you ride it.
We do have a 30 day back guarantee.

Kite weights are on par with the E5 and this kite has an extra strut.
Will post them soon as the main office opens in a few days.

Its like test driving a car.
Some will and be happy they did .
Some won't and get put of by what they have been reading on line with out even trying it.
They will never know and Miss out.

Just because one kite they tried with pulleys has this feel does not mean the next will ..

Hi Rynhardt.
Twin tip riding is not really my thing.
I can do it but is not my main focus when going to ride. Sure is fun to go boost when its nuking..
Here is a picture a my mate Marc enjoying the Element6 on a twin tip.
This rounding out the All Terrain aspect of the Element6 to the Tee.
