I think the H3 looks great but at the moment the foiling market looks to be saturated by zero or one strutt designs.
@ Felix, can you explain why Switch chose this path for the H3 please.
So what I'm really asking is why would you take an H3 over a 0 or 1 strutt design ?
Thanks, Top

More versatile kite for riders who want something for more than just foiling?

I agree with your answer to my question. I'm only in the early stages of foiling myself & a long time wave rider - so H3 seems ideal for me.

I will still buy more Nitro6
The 2 post above are a few hours apart in the same thread! Now, that's consistency!

btw I do not have a Switch kite yet but H3 looks sweet!
I love that you can read between the lines

Anyway, since the topic is the Switch "line up" I have to say that I find it brilliant and developing in the right direction.
Wave and general freeride are 2 categories that can be combined without (m)any compromises and Element 6 seems to be right there!
I was looking for the best kite for an 1 kite quiver with maximum wind range (Hydrofoil + Twin Tip & long/short line bars).
Up until finding this thread, I was considering an OR Flite but now I tend more towards H3
thanks

Given size to weight etc, what is the best H3 for lowest end wind foiling, 10m or 12m?

10m H3 on a foil you are going in 10 -12 knots . @ 185 pounds.
Keep in mind you still need to have some foil skills.
You can go in less how ever being conservative here for the General Public.

Felix

Thing is, you can go on any 3 strut 10-12m kite in 10-12 knots with foil skills.

So Felix was stating the truth, no BS, right?

True. If you're a learner on a high aspect foil it might be nice to have a bit more power though. I have been using a Element V1 13m as a light wind kite and it works well but it is heavier and you need to keep working the kite to keep it in the air. I'm curious to see how the 12m Helium flies in really light winds.

Sure does Simon.
The kites stay in the air in very light wind. This was one of the main focuses .
I'm giving out very conservative wind estimates to be safe. As you know there are a wide range of variables when getting going with a foil.

Felix
