I think moses would have done this if they could without compromising the performance goals. No company wants to increase the parts they have to make, it's a common way a growing company can kill it's self...
I think they totally dumped waveriders after 2015 line - (read Marek’s Bracuru comments couple years ago about keeping 450/425). And when they released 548 they must have noticed the excitement about slower wing. Even more so the 590 release is probably killing sales of other Moses kitefoil wings other than 637.

To top it off the 633 was not even meant to be a kitefoil and look at all the feedback from very experienced riders. It’s like inventing a door twintip years back :)

So I guess they don’t know, but hopefully they’re measuring success on their innovation and follow the money.

What about the 683 wing?
I have both the 633 and new 683. Absolutely looove the 633, but really not enjoying 683. All with Cloud kites. Hard to believe such a massive difference. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you riding with footstraps or without?
The 683 needs a different trim/stance. Foil further back or stance more to the front.
I like both wings, but feel the 633 has more to offer in addition to the 'regular' kite-wings.

Thanks Frank, I prefer to ride with hooks for boosting and harder carves. Felt like the 683 needs to be just a tad more in front, actually (1 strap hole forward and a tad more forward on track). Maybe I'm doing something wrong? 683 is faster and boosts better and seems to need just a bit more speed to stay on foil. But the biggest difference, personally, is that I'm able to do much harder carves on wave on 633, the 683 just doesn't want to go back from the carve to the next carve as much. You noticing the same?

Yes, agree on the carving. Kind of makes sense from looking at the wings too I feel.

This has been a great topic/conversation string by the way. I own the 2018 548/325, 558/330, and now the 637/420. I use the 548 strapless with the 91 mast and a Kanaha board. Love this set up in the surf. Light, loose, good lift and slow stall but you can also go fast if you want. 558/330 is my favorite for all around freestyle- big air, rolls, 360s. But the surprise for me is the 637 combo. I use the 558 and 637 with the 101 mast and ride a Hypermiler with straps. I enjoy this set up on flat water. What is unexpected is that the 637 wing has more lift than any other wing I own. It goes faster and is very pitch stable. Feels like a freight train plowing through the water vs the 558. I enjoy jumping all the wings and frankly haven’t settled on my favorite to go big. If I had to choose I suppose I would go with the 558. Basically does everything well. Probably allows for the best load and pop at speed with a loaded kite. If the wind is light I choose the 637 every time if flat water. Anyway, would be interested in what others think. The string has spoken quite a bit about the 633, but I agree with the gent who suggested that the 637 is the other surprise of the year! I use Core Sections in the surf and XRs for big air/freestyle on flat water. Foiling is a total game changer especially in Houston where we have 10-15mph wind most of the year unless a front rolls in.

Interesting. I have the 633 and 637 arriving next week. My main interest is whether the 637 will translate to bigger boosts due to speed and high AR over my current fav, the 558. My assumption was that I could load it up higher at a higher speed. I have just under 6000 boosts of data on the 558 and a PB of 60 feet... so I should be able to tell empirically whether there is a difference....once used to it.

Interested to know how you change your stance (center of gravity) when you go between the 558 and 637? Moving mast or straps or staying the same as the 558?

Cwood- It may be that I am simply getting used to the 637. But the initial feel is that it takes more effort to get the same pop due to the pitch stability. Loading feels good on both wings. Both are fast but the 637 goes fast more effortlessly. Just feels like the 558 jumps out of the water more distinctly. Please give us your review when you get out there. Will be interested in your impressions. Again, you will be amazed at the low end (slow planing) capability on the 637 as well.
