If you like your 14, you could also grab a 10m instead, and when it's time to replace the 9 switch it for an 8. Depends on your usual wind conditions though.

IIRC you're a 'big boy' in the IOM?

Going 9m to 12m is very nice, so get a 12m and you probably won't use the 14m any more because if it's not blowing enough to make the 12m work you'll almost certainly go straight to the 17m.
Ooh, you've actually thrown a spanner amongst the pigeons there(?) that actually sounds like a really good idea. 9, 12, 17 makes sense, and would be cheaper to refresh than having a 4 kite quiver. Thanks!

You didn’t mentioned what type of kites you already have? If it’s freeride switchblade/bandit/rebel you should be okay with 10&14m i own this two sized and gap is not too wide in my opinion. SB 14 rides from 12-20kts+ and 10m does 18-28kts. Ranges nicely overlap. If I chose my kite sizes again I would probably go for 8/11/17 as my weight is 200lbs

11. Absolutely positevily 11.
For my 200 lbs the 9 is the best boosting kite and 11 is the regular. 12s are kind of slow...
14 worked for me in 10-16 knots
11 is the best from 14-22 knots
15 was my lightwind kite to cover 7-15 knots using TT/door and short/long lines to cover the range

What’s your weight and which boards/conditions do you ride?
7 knots 200lbs on TT door on 15 (LEI)? I doubt it.

15m Turbine, 37m lines 170x50cm Flydoor5 XL in steady SW in Rodanthe, OBX. Water looked like a slightly disturbed glass. Side onshore so I doubt there was much gradient but the wind was very steady, no lulls. I can say it's been the best LW combination I've ever ridden and now the 15m Turbine is sold and my largest wing is 11m since freeride foiling with anything bigger is not much fun.
My pride and bunch of excited witnesses, sir.

I was riding Slingshot and did 9, 12, 17m

I’ve switched to Core XR4s and I’m riding 9, 12, 19 and considering filling it in with a 15m, partially because my wife might right the 15m when I’m on a 19m

I’m 200lbs and find the 9m to 12m jump to be pretty good, never felt like I would want less.
