Kiteboarding in Taiwan... anyone?

Postby simplelife » Tue Aug 09, 2005 7:10 pm

Will be living in Tainan, Taiwan for a while. Anybody know of a kiting scene in Taiwan? Expat or local riders, kiteclubs, locations..etc..

Cheers

I was in taiwan a few days last year. Took a train down to Junan to Tony's place. Tony at "Spot-X" in Junan (Chu Nan) has a great setup.
Here is one review I found:
http://www.ikiteboarding.com/locations/ ... ationID=61

I was only there a day or two (and a bad back put me out of action so I only rode for an hour or two), but I recommend getting in contact with Tony
tony(@)spot.com.tw Great location and really nice crew.

Cheers,
Dave

check the beaches section of this site and find some beaches. there you should meet locals. Looks like great winds in the straight of Taiwan.

And if you have some new beaches, please list them: http://www.kitebeaches.com

Sorry, i mixed up! Just notice you'll stay in Tainan. You could also ask Jason the infomation about Tainan kitespot.

I didn't head down Tainan before. However, I heard there is more windy days than Taipei!! :thumb: :thumb:
