Another builder

Postby stiggits » Wed Feb 08, 2012 9:22 pm

Hi, just joined the forum and thought I would say hello before
I start posting questions.
I have built a couple of boards so far, and they have been quite successful.
Image

The first was a laminated ply board just varnished,
The second a balsa with strips of pine core, then hand laid up with fiberglass.

My next project is to be a directional/wave board, which i hope to get alot more
serious in construction methods,
although this has got me a bit side tracked, and what was originally going to be a
good working and rocker table is now also going to be a CNC router !, so the
board might end up taking me longer than I thought. :-? .

Cool. 3 axis CNC? Home made or kit built?

yes it is a three axis,
I have built all the table myself from bits i`ve
"begged, borrowed or stolen"
then bought the motors and drivers.
It could do with a lot of improvements, but is
running and hope to cut a full size board in
the next couple of weeks.
