I guess you tried to jump like that in 6-8 knots (average 7 knots : 8 mph)

If i did this video i would have to make sure to explain to all viewers what was happening

You sometimes have near shore 6-8 knots...but in open water it can be MUCH more in the kite

So as a rule of thumb...put up the kite anyway...and give it a go on the water

If you cannot go then nobody will

But if while out there you can pull """6 to 9 foot jumps and spins"""

Just do not OMIT (means the same as lying)

To tell all viewers that results like that are NOT typical at all

In order to jump like that there was on the water and in the kite 10 to 12 knots (average 11 knots)

How do i know ?? Because i have over 200 hrs of flying on the SP3 21

Claims like that turns people off....probably why Tone is selling his large bedsheet

11 knots average is nearly DOUBLE the power of 7 knots average

So post videos...but please never never put a number (wind speed to it)

"""""""""You do not need whitecaps to have wind""""""""""""

Yesterday "on the beach it was 9 knots"...ocean was totally glassy...wind side side on..2 ft surf

But on the water the wind power in my 19 Riot XR2LW was 18 knots !!!! Magic wind ??

I was totally depowered and yet still in control boosting 20 foot high kiteloops on strap surfboard

I could have made a video and bragged.....but i do not need to...i enjoy my privacy :bye:

woooah!

don't get me involved in a bitch fest, I was being a shameless pimp!

I am not selling mine because I don't use it or want it.

It gets me going in next to no wind at all with the raceboard. If the 21 will stay in the air, then I can ride the raceboard.

I am moving to a 3 fin raceboard and the 21 will be too much for that board as i have lost weight and will be using the 19 and 15 combo from now on.

thats all!

The wind is about 3-5 knots at shore just keeping the kite in the air in the water with the kite down
low... then I ride in 6-8...

8 Knots is plenty for me on a 21m at 155 Pounds.
Lots of fun!!
The Skill to jump in low winds and do tricks is another thing.....
and without the Flyrace I couldn't do it.
The board is what makes lower wind power on 21m much better!

In 10-12 knots I'm on my 12m Speed 3 and regular 140 or Flyrace... Will do a vid of that later...
A 12m Speed is about the power of a 14m SLE.

In less wind it looks like this..
But I would not be able to stay upwind on a regular lightwind board...
That's why it's so dreamy.... and this is Lake Ontario Great Lakes Big.. Big and Flat....

I remember when we all waiting for Whitecaps years ago, that was frustrating...

I don't know why people think you can't loop big kites? I do backroll kite loops and downloop transition landings on my 18 Dyno all the time and it's a super (Supa?) slow kite. It doesn't always make it all the way around by the time I land, but it's still a soft landing.

Me too Davesails i am a maniac kitelooper & downlooper on this fast XR2LW 19 + strap surfb

I had similar success last year on the 18 Dyno but my loops were not as tight and controlled as now

From a true wind speed in kite of 9 knots all the way to 18 knots that XLG LW kite rocks at looping

If the wind is light, I use a loop to do a jump transition... on my S3 21. Timing it right is tough cos it's so slow though - but the kite does make a loop. Does that count?
