Nice!

Had my first lessons on Bintan, at Mana Mana (still have a beach towel :D ) but we haven't been back in a while - the built a night club near the bungalows and it sucks at night.

Where is that place in the video?

thx mate.

As far as I know, Mana Mana has been shut down for quite some time. I heard that the local co-owner was jailed for taxes non-payment (not sure if that is true) and the foreign owner could not maintain it himself. I hope they re-open one day.

This place is Argo Beach.

Crikey! Shame, they had a pretty good selection of Mexican food in the restaurant. And a real shame was that concrete abomination they put in the middle of the beach too... obviously, I'm not part of the younger crowd anymore who wants to disco in the moonlight :o

Argo - hmm... what's a good season there?

Yes, still ride :D I thought living in Japan, miles from the beach it'd be tough to learn kiteboarding so I landboarded till a couple of years back... when I discovered the kiteboarding club on the lake 20 minutes from the house

Have family in Singapore so occasionally stop in... but we haven't been to Bintan in a few years.

Mana Mana towel is my kiteboarding towel :D still going strong!

3 hours door to door.

Wind is on the light side. Most often an 80kg rider will be on a 12-15M kite.
But sometimes it may blow stronger all the way to 7-10M range.
