Thanks Flyboy, that is some good info to ponder on the freeride v.s. surf style board. since I have the celeritas for surf, maybe the Nugget would get me goin with my Dyno 17m.

Well it's not really "info" - more an "opinion"! :brainshit: I've never riden the Nugget, so I can't speak from personal experience. The Nugget sounds like a good "one-board" quiver (except for the lack of a 3 strap option, which, in a board that width, would seem essential). But as you already have a good surf board, I'd be inclined to get something a little more low-wind/speed oriented than the Nugget ... just an opinion.

Nugget is perfect for light wind and will be a good florida wave board, great strapless i never tried it straped, low end is very close to raceboard, but way more fun,it very light and good for strapless airs, the only thing i dont like about it is its quad fin only, wish it had thruster as well for looser cut backs, hope this helps,ps a few friends tried it and loved it can leave on the beach it gone in a flash lol TONY

Litewave DV8 is thin for a lower center-of-gravity making jibes way more stable. Rails are built-up and thick for a rounded 'surf rail' on the bottom and a nice grab handle on top.

Wood core, like a twin-tip, makes it strong and flexy. Have a look at the product-video.

They're available in 5'7" or 6'1"

Hi everyone,

For those North Nugget owners anyone try it with different fins than the OEM ones?
Any recommedations or comments?

I own a Nugget and the other day run thru a dry reef and broke one of my back fins
and would need to replace the fins. The original ones are difficult to find and are expensive.

I check The Future Fins web site and the quad fins that they offer have different
lenghts and width than the OEM fins.

I'm thinking that probably bigger fins would give more direction but probably would
affect the board loose.

Any comments are really appreciated.

Kami-
You asked about a bigger Nugget type directional...
Slingshot Knee Swacker
5' 10" long
22.5" wide
2.3" thick.
Quad fin (2) 4.6" and (2) 4.25" fins FCS.
Two front straps and single back, or goes strapless.
Low nose rocker and wide round nose
Wide "screwdriver tip" tail.

How's the "fun factor"? And ease of rideability? And shipping costs? :o
