Looks cool. What are the conditions like in January?
And what's the best way to get there from Bogota?

At lake Calima we have strong winds almost all year round, best chances to get stronger winds are from January thru march, and from june thru october.
You can travel from Bogota by plane to Cali (Palmira Airport: Alfonso Bonilla Aragón) then take a bus to Darién. Or by bus from Bogotá - Buga - Darién.

I spent many weekends last year in Lago Calima (i was living in medellin). Even when it was not the windy season i've been able to kite.
Most used kites are beetwen 9 and 12 m. Wind is not very constant and it could be very foggy when the wind.

Hey guys ... resurrecting this thread.
Heading out there in Feb for a couple of weeks, so a 12/9 quiver seems to do the trick. What about wetsuit? 3/2 good or is a spring suit ok or just boardies and rash-guard?
Tnx.
