Like this one:
I can't make it hooked-in or unhooked.
I can do tail/nose grabs hooked-in easily.
But when I try to swing my legs up or lean with back hand for board, this motion kicks me our of balance. Also when I have this grab in mind, my jump height become small.
Please share your tips, guys!

well, if it's a balance issue, just remember your body will follow your head, maybe you can try adjusting rotation issues with this approach?

Maybe you can advice some exercises before that? Like doing simple versions of this trick to feel balance right.

bend your front knee to the extreme -it's right there for your back hand... tweak it out with maximum style.

this one is a pain, and i usually miss it but get it good once in a while.
unhooked, pop like an ordinary indy. i ended up learning to twist my bar hand and arm down hard (like thumb side facing the water) to help counter the forward rolling. pull the front leg up WAY up and back is key, reach over the thigh (just above knee). when i reach across my shin (which seems easier) my shin usually blocks my arm.
gotta hit the yoga pretty hard is probably the best advise.

Also struggling with this one, and it really hurts hitting the water in awkward positions too.

I can only pull that position off a significant ramp and visualize it like a wall slide instead of a jump.
Heading out in side on conditions once your almost all the way out the back where the ramps start to get pretty beefy with a decent trough off the back. Practice by first just hitting a few raileys off the ramp heading down the line. You dont really have to edge and go big cause the wave will give you the height. Progress to a few krypts (railey with a toe side landing) Then to krypts landing with only the back hand on the bar (pretty natural progression). Next start to poke the board higher and higher. Once you get that inverted feel and can land toe side in the trough, then start pulling the back leg in tight and make the grab with the front hand. Direction of travel feels like its along the wave down the beach instead of just out off the ramp. Kinda of a half pipe feel to the whole thing instead of off a kicker. Land going directly side shore on the back of the wave.
Again, let the wave give you the height instead of trying to carve and pop. Kinda feels like you send the board out from underneath yourself on lift off where the board is headed out offshore, but your body has changed course to travel downwind. Its kindof a slip on a banana peel kinda feeling, if that makes sense but it gets the board way out and up. Takes a few of those before you get comfortable enough to go for the grab, and then its all about bending that back knee in tight.
Hold that grab and bone it out better than I can! Good luck. This is not a positition I can even come close to getting off flat water.

Brent4336, So I should land toeside and grab with my front hand? That might be a key. Thank you for tips, will check!
Because I was trying grabbing with my back hand nose of board and landing heel side.

I understand what your trying, and the only way I can grab like that is to stay hooked in. Unhooked I get too stretched out.
