Hi
Thinking to go in Brazil in 26th of January and return the 4th of February
Staying a week in Jericoacoara and another 3-4 days in Fortaleza
Will it be windy??...I am 78kg riding Bandit 7&10 covering a range from 14knots up to 40knots
What sizes do I need???
Additionally, how do I get from Fortaleza to Jeri??...Public transport is out of the question (7hours)
Can I rent a car while in Fortaleza to go around and to Cumbuco??
Many thanks in advance for your replies
Chris

no one will know if there is wind. Depends on the rain. Might be dry, might rain. Hit or miss.
But if dry, you will have wind for sure.
14-40 knots sounds fine...I assume you will find max 30 knots, so 10-30 is most likely.
Cumbuco like 10-25.
You can rent a car, but you can only drive until Prea if no 4x4...Jeri has no access street...
There are people doing transports...along the beach...very nice trip. Not cheap though...but an adventure for sure.

I've been to Fortaleza a while back. I'm not sure if renting a car is the best option, traffic was crazy and the roads not so well kept - that was 6 years ago maybe. Travel in Brazil relies a lot on travel agency support, maybe you can book a bus or a van for the ride through one.

Don't worry just rent a simple car like a vw gol. When you get to Jijoca de Jericoacoara, the village where the asphalt road ends, hire a guide (gia in prtgs). He will ask 20-30 bucks. He will take your car to a place where they will let the air out of your tires and he will drive your car thru the sand to Jeri. Amazing experience. Coming back is the same. It is all cool, I did it several times.
