Sony Action Cam vs GoPro Hero3

Postby intheloop » Thu Dec 20, 2012 10:26 am

Sony came out with a new Action Cam and is now competing with the Hero GoPro3.
Looking for some feedback on the Hero3 Black Edition vs the Sony Action Cam!?

Here is a little video that Andy Yates shot few days ago with the new Sony.

Yeah I'm curious how this thing shakes out too. $229 is a lot more reasonable for a camera that'll probably end up on the bottom of the ocean. $400 for a GP3 is nuts.

In case you haven't looked here yet, these are the Amazon reviews thus far.

I have to laugh at people bagging on a waterproof camera because they can't plug things into it while it's in the housing....

I agree too that you dont need to plug anything into the camera while in the water.
