Thank you pippi.
So if you go with 7/9 and 80 kg, then the wind might be to hard for me(58kg) in south afrika? :(
Or can i go in the mornings and from/untill what times usually?

You'll be fine. Some days blow less than others, and if its too strong in Cape Town, then you can head north an hour to Langebaan where it tends to blow a few knots less.

Wind tends to be pretty linear in that it starts blowing mid to late morning and gets progressively stronger thru til the evening so yes, you could go out earlier in the day.

Check out some of the webcams. This one has the live Blowfeed wind stats too so you can get an idea what it's doing:

Around 78kg on wavebords, I went with a:

4,5m2
7m2
9m2

A couple of times the 4,5 was a bit to the "overpowered" side, in the evening at some spots.

My 9m2 never got out of the bag in the 2 weeks I was there in january/february 2012 - too much wind for this size.
2 days out of the 14 had no wind at all - otherwise it was 4,5 or 7m2 every day.

And the 4,5 and 7 was used equally, the same amount of times/days :thumb:

Could still be fun to get one "low wind" day eventually, where a 9m2 could be used - just to get cleaner waves - but havent succeded yet....

A luxury problem though

But I've heard about some being down there with VERY different winds, so we were maybe just lucky ?
