North 5th element bar adjustments

Postby denise » Wed Jan 09, 2013 2:54 am

I just bought a rebel size 8 24m lines
I have an elevenand it is ok, but something is wrong with this one.
It is turning very slowly and does not have the power I was expecting
I am at jericoacoars 30 knots of wind and to make it turn I have to make a huge movment on the bar and wait for 5 or 7 seconds for it to respond. Than it starts to turn really slowly and after 12 o clock it gets some power and I have to make a revers comand not to make it excessive.
I do not know how to adjust this new bar. The outside lines has two differnt places for adjustment, undes the eva covering the lines or on the side of the bar. Or it is a problem of he inside lines?
Any help?
Thanks

From size 10 Rebel and above sizes i prefer the wider setting 55cm between the back lines

You can go on North website and it shows how to switch bar width

For the 8 of course narrow 46cm setting but for an 11 wider is better in my opinion

Also if your 11 kite is a 2012 and newer you can change the setting on the wingtips and it might help
