Hi
My brother who lives over that way, explained to me that they lost a bit of snow during the thaw,
Recently they got snow, but it blew around like crazy,
They are now expecting serious lake effect snow!

Thanks for the info. I see the temps for next week will be very cold so the lake effect snow machine should be in full effect.
I know the rally has been cancelled this year but does anyone know if the sites on map from last year are still open?

Most sites are likely ok to kite on, a few def. not! But each one would require permission from the rightful landowner.
This is the missing link for the event, our local rep. Is no longer working for the town.
We are starting from the ground up once again, as it was in the beginning... Nothing new really,
But yes 4 feet expected

Oneida lake at Sylvan beach is 6-8" ice , 2-5 " hardpack snow on most of it with scatered bare ice patches that are very rough cobble stone like(big cobblestone). Flew there yesterday. Beware at the inlet of the canal and 2miles out had open water last Sunday but may well be ok by tomorrow.

Thanks snowspider. Not much wind in forecast for the weekend, but maybe next weekend. Do you know of any planned kite event up there? There was something at Borio's 2 years ago...
