To get back to the OP's original intent...for me it comes down to perspective and expectation. If I am trolling the web looking for specific tricks I am trying to perfect then honestly the production quality means little to me. When I am in this mode I am skipping through a lot of the video or rewinding the same trick over and over to see how it is pulled off.
If I am watching an F One video then I am expecting some pretty good content and production value and for the most part F One videos deliver on this. Cabrinha does an equally good job as well as Naish too.
If I am watching random videos from "Joe Kiter" then my expectation is pretty low. This is where I know I am gonna' have basic production value and my expectations are not high. But then again I am a "glass is half full" kinda person. I try to find something of value in every video. I've even found value in ancient videos shot in 240p that looked so freakin' grainy the kiter looked like he was a chemical burn victim. Back to my original statement. It comes down to perspective and expectation. Find your balance between the two and you can enjoy a lot more of the "same old kiting movies."
