Postby Elo » Mon Jan 28, 2013 3:23 pm

Hi!

I'm looking for a trip in Jamaica in february with my two kids and my boyfriend.
I would like to have some suggestions about watch is the best place to kite.
Is the wind throng enough to have some fun there?

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

I have been kiting on and off in Jamaica for the last 3 months, at a place called berwood beach. If you look on Google Earth its just 4 miles east of Falmouth (its called White Bay). its nice bay, good kiting, pretty much windy every day at this time of year. there are a couple of resorts on the bay as well but i cant testify what they are like. there are a few kiters there every day but I've never seen more than 5 at a time. I'm 180lbs been out on my 8m and my 11m, with 136cm board.

If i had a 12m kite and a 140cm board i'd be surprised if i didn't get out 6/7 days a week.

If your just looking for somewhere quiet with a good chance of wind every day it would be worth looking into. I'll be there again on the 14th maybe u'll bump into me.

check the forecast using the ikitesurf app for android or iphone its called "bounty bay" on those. Its on the underestimated side :-)

P.S. i have no affiliation to anyone or anything there.

good luck
