cool, those richman bros sure get some amplitude when it is nuclear
what riders on? torches/parks bows/cs? how many knots
are c kites still king of explosive amplitude (maybe not hang time tho which is second rate to me)? not sure i would put my $$ either way nowdays as there are for sure some high jumping hybrids around, still prefer the cs tho myself

Bill Parker riding for Flexifoil heading out
Photo: "Shaun Engler FB Page"
I recall hearing that Red Bull pulled out of promoting the King of the Air because kitesurfing had become too mainstream when the Maui event ended. It is good they are behind it again and from the photos, you will have trouble finding another sport that could create such images. I collected images from the Red Bull Content Pool, some off Facebook, youtube and other places and put them together along with some background information in an early writeup of the event yesterday.
Sam Medysky riding for Best out of Canada pops a nice one.

What an excellent event! Someone asked the question if the Maui event might be resurrected, any idea? Such high winds are rare there to my knowledge, still it is a great venue.

Why do you think that, I don't recall anyone in the office making any claims about our riders performance in this or any other event.
At this level busting the biggest air largely comes down to being on the water at the right spot on a ramp for the right gust at the right time. Props to all the riders who competed.
