Ok after much debate I just need to learn how to ride a directional. What is a good short board for me... Maui so good wind and waves, 180lbs. Naish, Cabrihna, North, Wainman would be easy to get. I really want something as short as possible, rides most like a twin tip... cuts threw the water and doesn't bounce around. Would like to learn strapless but will use straps sometimes.
Thanks for the help

I was thinking skater... But the 5'4" thought it would be most like a TT. Is 5 4 too small to really enjoy waves?

you may be ok with the 5'4" in higher winds..
if you want more of a TT feel, check out Ocean Rodeo Makos .. 165 is a directional..
